Lessons
Across the waters of Marcelland, where land and sea share their stories, rise The Lyric Isles — an archipelago of song and sound. One realm among many, the Isles shimmer with voices in bloom and stories waiting to be told. Here, within this haven of rhythm and reflection, Once Upon a Voice finds its home — a place where singers and songwriters uncover not just their craft, but their connection to it.
Each lesson moves like a current — responsive, exploratory, and alive with discovery. Students grow at their own rhythm: children learning to shape sound into song, teens refining the colors of their tone and story, adults deepening technique while rekindling joy. Guided by a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approach, instruction blends artistry and structure so that every student learns not only how to sing, write, play, and produce, but why their voice matters at all.
Every voice — typical or atypical — is welcome across the Isles. Lessons support singers who use speech or augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), as well as those who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Through visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and written pathways, Once Upon a Voice adapts to each learner’s unique way of expressing and experiencing sound.
The Lyric Isles are where a voice first learns to travel — where sound becomes story, and story becomes song — echoing outward into the vastness of Marcelland and beyond.

Group Classes
In the shallows of The Lyric Isles, the littlest storytellers (ages 0 to 6) begin where rhythm meets wonder. Alongside their grown-ups, they move, hum, and play—learning that language and melody rise from the same tide. Every splash of laughter becomes the first note of their song.
